How Our Tax Relief Specialists Create Real Savings
First, in the initial free consultation, one of our experienced tax negotiation experts will conduct an interview to examine your unique situation. Next, they will determine the best course of action for you. Lastly, they will explain the type of results that can be expected in your case and how to proceed.
Speak with Educated Tax Settlement Experts
Our tax settlement experts and IRS tax negotiators undergo extensive training in IRS tax collection strategies. This educational program consists of training relating to tax settlement programs such as: requirements for a taxpayer to become tax compliant, currently non-collectible benchmark tests, tax return preparation, tax audit strategies, payment plan options for both small and large tax debts, as well as many other case specific issues.
Additionally, our program ensures that the tax negotiators at United Tax Group are both, knowledgeable and experienced, in all types of tax problems. We only employ tax resolution strategies that are both realistic and workable. Unlike many other tax relief companies, United Tax Group takes considerable pride in the accuracy of our initial case analysis related to your particular situation.
Engage United Tax Group
The second step of our process involves hiring United Tax Group to carry out the array of services, specifically tailored to your needs, which are discussed in the initial consultation. This step requires you to sign several important documents that will allow our tax professionals to represent you. Each taxpayer must sign an IRS Power of Attorney form, which will allow us to legally represent you before the IRS. The next required document is a Tax Information Authorization form, which will grant us access to all of your records with the IRS. Then a Service Agreement must be signed, specifically detailing the services that United Tax Group will provide to the client. Lastly, our company will require a Payment Method document that details all of the terms and conditions required in order for United Tax Group to represent you.
Transcript Analysis and Investigation
Our third step begins as soon as we have received all of the required documentation from you. This step involves obtaining all of your IRS transcripts on file. These transcripts detail the amount of tax owed, tax returns outstanding, collection statute expiration date(s), a consolidated statement of assessed penalties and interest, as well as other important details relating to your personal tax account with the IRS. We review the transcripts carefully to fully understand the nature and scope of your issues with the IRS. Then, we report back to you exactly what actions we believe will be needed to resolve all of your outstanding tax problems. This crucial preliminary evaluation and resolution plan becomes the basis and guide for all the required work that will follow.
Help with the IRS Compliance
The fourth step is to ensure that you are now tax compliant. Our team of Tax Attorneys, CPA’s, and Enrolled Agents will complete all of the necessary steps to ensure that you comply with IRS guidelines and requirements. This process will involve the completion of any and all outstanding tax returns, amendment of any incorrectly prepared tax returns, and preparation and filing on your behalf of any other reports or financial statements necessary to cause your tax account to become fully compliant with the IRS’s requirements. This will allow us to move your case to the next step of the negotiated tax settlement that was forecast in our initial consultation.
Negotiate the Most Favorable Settlement Possible
Assuming it is determined after step four that there are outstanding tax amounts owed—and not all clients are in that position; some find that their tax returns, when properly prepared and filed, will reflect no taxes due or even a refund owing to the taxpayer—we then use our expertise to secure the most advantageous tax settlement or payment plan for you.
Our team of Tax Attorneys, CPA’s and Enrolled Agents work closely with the IRS on a daily basis. We know and understand the various factors and issues that guide the actions of the agents that oversee tax settlements. When these issues and factors change—as they frequently do—we will know about those changes long before the average CPA or Tax Attorney. We use this experience and changing knowledge base to procure the best possible tax settlement program available to each client based on that client’s particular situation. We provide our clients with effective follow-up and additional information as needed to ensure the best result.
Finalize the Negotiated Tax Settlement
Once all the settlement or payment plan documentation has been negotiated and signed, we review the results to confirm that the final program is indeed what was agreed upon by United Tax Group and the IRS. At this time, we also advise our clients on how to avoid any future problems with the IRS and remain tax compliant going forward.
